About Emilija

  Emilija Davidovic is a producer and a line producer based in Toronto. She began her career by gaining foundational insights working on international co-productions, mastering film funding, budgeting, and delivery processes, and collaborating on projects with Belgium, Germany, and the Netherlands. 

Emilija has produced a diverse array of projects, encompassing both commercial and arthouse genres. Emilija’s projects often explore sociopolitical, cultural, and ethical issues while providing opportunities for a wide range of artists and talent. Supported by various government funding bodies, she continues to make impactful contributions to the industry.

Between 2022 and 2023, as the Supervising Producer at the Canadian Film Centre, Emilija nurtured emerging talent and oversaw their projects, contributing to the development of Canada’s leading filmmakers. A dedicated educator, she earned the 2023 Career Colleges of Ontario Award for Excellence in Teaching.

Most recently, Emilija was the lead producer on a narrative feature film, supervised the production of a feature-length docudrama, and is in production of a feature documentary. 

 She was also one of the Industry Producers at the 2025 Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival, closely working with internationally renowned documentary filmmakers, broadcasters, and networks. 

While continuously contributing to the education of aspiring filmmakers, she also remains dedicated to advancing the Canadian film landscape through her own work.
